Observe whales and dolphins inhabiting Monterey Bay as they migrate between the Bering Sea and the Baja Peninsula. Monterey Bay Whale Watch Company offers year-round whale watching cruises on Monterey Bay, CA, the best place on the West Coast to view Gray Whales, diverse marine life and seabirds. Gray Whales, Humpback Whales, Blue Whales, Pacific White-Sided Dolphins, Risso's Dolphins, Northern Right Whale Dolphins, Common Dolphins, Killer Whales, and Dall's Porpoise can be seen swimming the bay waters. Fin Whales, Minke Whales, Harbor Porpoise, Bottlenose Dolphins, and Beaked Whales are occasional visitors.
Three-hour trips are offered throughout the year, and 4-5 hour trips are available during the summer/fall season (May to mid-December). The longer trips are recommended for summer and fall due to the feeding patterns of humpback and blue whales. Migrating gray whales and dolphins are highlights of the winter/spring trips. Dolphins can be seen at any time of the year. Every trip is led by captains who know where to find and approach whales, and a marine biologist/naturalist who narrates and answers questions. This is an amazing adventure!
