A Charming Victorian Hotel in Monterey
Marion Taylor, Innkeeper at The Centrella Inn, has many talents! With a 25 year career with Pacific Bell and AT&T, before taking an early retirement in 1989 to attend the French Culinary Institute in Manhattan, NY., Marion intended to pursue a career as a chef, which she did indeed do for a quite a few years.
She worked as a personal chef for Charles and Helen Schwab (of Charles Schwab Corporation) for three years, then for Glen and MaryAnn Charles (of Cheers and Fame), before going to work for Monsignor Murphy at the Carmel Mission.
Marion 's big hobby and passion is traveling the world. Her last trip was to Israel and due to the political situation she was one of the few tourists there. However as always she had a wonderful time! Marion has also traveled to Spain on a pilgrimage on The Spanish Road to Santiago de Compastela" that included 450 mile walk in 6 weeks!
Since May of 2001, Marion has been the Innkeeper at The Centrella Bed & Breakfast Inn, delighting the guest with her charm, warmth, wonderful breakfast dishes and personal touch that makes The Centrella "home away from home". Marion is now exploring the idea of opening the Inn to the public for English Afternoon tea!
